The relentless storm had finally broken. As if on cue, the sun emerged, painting the refreshed courtyard in a brilliant, golden light. One by one, then in small clusters, people began to spill from their shelters, drawn by the sudden warmth and the promise of clear skies. The air, washed clean by the rain, now buzzed with the murmur of relieved voices and the gentle stirring of a city reawakening, eager to reclaim the open space.
The relief was short-lived, however, as something else had also entered the city with the storm's fury: a colossal sea monster, its terrifying presence now an unsettling mystery yet to be fully discovered amidst the reawakening streets.
