Journal Entry: April 20, 2026 Location: City of Lara / Summer Sun Title: Expansion and Familial Stability
Today has been one of those days where the logistical and the personal began to align. We spent a significant amount of time in Lara, finalizing the arrangements for my workspace and the transition of the College’s resources. It is comforting to have Father and his men so involved in these preparations; their presence provides a layer of security that allows me to move through the city with confidence. Father is particularly focused on our living arrangements and the security of our home, and he is as uncompromising in those matters as he is in his leadership of the clan. It is a protective, if stern, environment he cultivates, but it creates a space where I can focus on my duties without fear of interference.
We also spent time evaluating the potential for further expansion. The instability and "Disney-like" quality of some of the regions we visited recently—where tradition and decorum are so carelessly discarded—only reaffirms my commitment to maintaining the high standards of the Academy and my own household. We are here to establish something that lasts, a home that honors the old ways and provides a stable base for the clan. The prospect of Father potentially securing a larger property suggests that we are looking toward a long-term future here, which is a prospect I find quite agreeable.
The day concluded with quiet reflections on the state of our affairs and the future of the College. Having the office settled and the library files in order gives me a sense of accomplishment. I am tired, but it is a good sort of fatigue—the kind that comes from work well-done.
To Do:
Organize the recent acquisitions—the new furniture pieces and decor—to make the home feel more settled.
Prepare the final lecture outline for the "War of the Thassa" session; I need to ensure the strategic concepts are clear for our students.
Check on the begonias; ensure they are thriving despite the recent shifts in location and environment.
Continue cataloging the Academy's library; consistency is the key to our growth.
