She then lifted the pitcher and carefully poured the wine into the goblet, before kneeling and holding it up to Master William, for this part of the ceremony.
[18:21] William Carver: He would accept the wine from Skylar"I have in my hand, a vessel filled with the best of Kalana wine. A precious and rare drink like a good union of souls. This vessel has been checked to see that there are no imperfections in it as you shall strive for your union to be. Loki, take this vessel and let Lady Bahia drink first and then you....showing to all how precious and strong your will is to strive for the perfect union." He would then place the wine on the table between the couple and observe.
[18:22] Loki O'Dingautr Minotaur (souleater66) eyes look to Jaiyana and takes hold the Kalana wine. bringing it out and holding it toward her for her to grab/ take a drink from it.
[18:24] Jaiyana (skie.karu) takes the goblet and looks at Loki over the rim of it before dipping it below her veils and taking a sip she then holds it out to Loki "Your turn" she says with an amused look.
[18:25] John Savage (johnnyoldsmobile.adamczyk) smiled at the back and watched the ceremony. it had its own loveliness to it he would think. not like the wagon tradition of a man simply claiming a woman as his own, and paying the womans father a respective price in live kaiila and bosk hides. and hed seen some that didnt even do that. simply challenged any man who questioned him. what a lovely thing this ceremony is hed thin to himself. these city folk werent so bad

" Now that custom and tradition have been fulfilled by the sharing of wine it is now time to sign the contract. It requires both of your signatures to full fill your legal obligations to each other. I invite Lady Bahia to sign and affix her seal then Loki in turn to do the same."

[18:32] Jaiyana (skie.karu) chuckles "Last chance...." she teased Loki in a low voice then turned to the table, bending slightly she uses the quill to sign her birth name and using wax she affixed her seal. Turning back to him she waited.

[18:37] William Carver: watches the couple sign and seal then he leans over the table to sign and affix his official seal. "The contact is signed and the wine has been consumed. I present to you Loki and Lady Bahia as Free Companions, for the term of one Gorean year. In one year I hope to see you both returning here for another renewal. Loki, In the Tahari tradition, you may remove Bahia's face veil".
