Mood/Title: Scribe Summit Preparations in Lara

Spent the early morning setting up my new to-do list system at home in Olni before heading over to the City of Lara for the bi-weekly Scribe Caste of Gor (SCoG) meeting. We had a remarkably well-attended meeting chaired by Trygg Tyran.

The primary order of business was resolving the location for the upcoming Scribe Summit. Following recent developments and safety concerns at Var-Kor, Myriam proposed moving the event to Thunder Mountain upon Sir Marcus’s invitation. The assembly voted in favor of the relocation. We also discussed speaker scheduling, noting that Skylar Bahram will present on her apprentice program and that additional volunteer speakers are being gathered. Skylar also shared that the newly rebuilding city (formerly Var-Kor) is actively seeking a Head of Caste.

After the meeting wrapped up, I took some time to browse furniture shops, picking up a few items from the Conquistador and Renaissance Faire sets for my space. Returned to Olni to check in on local activities before calling it an early evening.

• Follow up on the revised promotional posters and schedule for the Scribe Summit at Thunder Mountain.

• Review notes for next Tuesday's discussion topic.

• Unpack and arrange newly purchased furniture items.

Key Discussion Points & Decisions:

• Scribe Summit Relocation:

  • Due to recent disruptions and security concerns in Var-Kor (including inappropriate enforcement actions against free women by low caste merchants), Myriam proposed moving the September Scribe Summit to Thunder Mountain.

  • The assembled scribes voted unanimously in favor of moving the summit venue to Thunder Mountain.

  • Updated promotional materials and posters will be reissued reflecting the new location.

• Summit Presentation & Speakers:

  • Skylar Bahram confirmed she accepted the invitation to present her apprentice program as part of the summit curriculum.

  • Lady Victoria Forstander has been contacted regarding presenting a class; backup instructors will be organized to ensure session coverage.

  • Open call remains for additional Scribe Caste members to step up as speakers and presentation hosts.

• Next Host City for Monthly Meeting:

  • Teletus was proposed as the host location for next month’s SCoG meeting.

• Caste Notice:

  • Skylar announced that the new city rebuilding on the site of former Var-Kor is currently seeking a Head of Caste (preferably male). Interested candidates are requested to reach out to her directly.
