Journal Entry: 2026/04/30 Location: Lara II / Summer Sun Mood/Title: Reflective and Persistent
Today was a bit more subdued, but productive in its own way. I spent some time at the inn, enjoying a quiet tea with Erik and chatting with Aurora. It is always interesting to see who drifts in and out of the common spaces; we even had a visitor named Kellen, who seems like quite the talented baker and might be a wonderful addition to the community’s social life.
My mind, however, keeps drifting back to the College. It’s disheartening to lose a teacher so suddenly, but I am learning that setbacks are simply part of the process. I am not ready to give up on this dream, especially with Abraham’s legacy in mind. Erik was supportive, reminding me that growth is incremental—one class at a time. I am feeling more determined than ever to find the right people to help carry this forward.
There is a certain quietness to the work I am doing now, but it feels necessary. I am continuing to reflect on the nature of our caste and what it truly means to preserve our traditions properly. I am grateful for the steady rhythm of these days, even when things are quiet. I know that if I keep placing the right pieces—the brochures, the outreach, the conversations—the College will eventually find its footing again.
To Do:
Follow up with potential teachers to see if they might be willing to pick up the classes that were vacated.
Continue refining the curriculum notes and identifying the "right" voices to lead those sessions.
Keep sharing the brochures with new visitors at the inn and beyond.
