Today was defined by the arrival of a new member to the household and the continued labor of building a home that reflects our values. It is a relief to have acquired a new girl—one who, unlike the previous trial, appears to have the humility and willingness to learn that this life demands. I have provided her with the necessary materials to begin her education, and I intend to be rigorous in her training. In this world, a slave who does not know their place is not just a nuisance; they are a liability, both to themselves and to the honor of the House.
I spent time with Father and Izzy in the tavern, a space where the atmosphere remains a reprieve from the performative nonsense often found elsewhere. There is a distinct, grounding clarity in the company of true warriors and those who understand the Gorean code. It was a productive evening, balancing professional administrative duties—such as managing property rentals and ensuring our presence in the city is secure—with the social necessities of maintaining alliances. We continue to establish our footprint here, and while I keep a watchful eye on the city's political temperature, I am confident in the foundations we are laying. The "Circle" project is advancing, and I am hopeful that the coming classes will attract students who genuinely seek knowledge rather than just a place to loiter.
