Another day in Olni, another layer of complexity peeled back. My time at the Scribe’s Hall and then the Chained Beauty Kennels with Huntsy has only reinforced how fragile the order in this city truly is. Between the administrative struggles over slave examinations and the personal tragedies that ripple through the community, it is becoming clear that I must be more than just a teacher; I must be a force of stability.

I had a troubling discussion today regarding the legal status of the kennel slaves and the friction that arises when professional standards—like proper health exams—are met with resistance from those who seem to prefer chaos or shortcuts. It is disheartening to see the Scribe caste so strained by administrative oversight and missing records. I am determined that my own records will not suffer such a fate. I have begun moving my work into the office space I’ve been preparing, and I am already finding that the structure helps mitigate the surrounding instability.

On a more personal note, the news of the "Thing" approaching the northern shores serves as a grim reminder that our world is vast, often dangerous, and indifferent to our local squabbles. My work with "The Circle" is more vital than ever; if I can help even a few students understand the weight of their own existence and the sanctity of the Home Stone, then I have succeeded where others have failed.
