Journal Entry: April 22, 2026 Location: City of Lara / The Fjord Title: Preparing for the Unknown
Today was spent balancing the final preparations for my academic duties with the looming presence of my upcoming cardiologist appointment. It is difficult to maintain the necessary focus on curriculum and administrative paperwork when the mind keeps returning to the uncertainties of my own health. Nevertheless, I am determined to fulfill the promises I made to Abraham; I have begun the transition of the College duties, and I am committed to seeing them through, even if I have to navigate these responsibilities while managing my own anxieties.
The atmosphere in Lara has been rather tense, with discussions of raids, conflicting protocols, and the occasional posturing of those who seek to undermine the standards of our caste. It is tiring to be in an environment where one must constantly assert the validity of their status and the sanctity of our traditions. I find that I am increasingly grateful for the sanctuary Father has provided in the Fjord. The contrast between the rigid, disciplined order we cultivate there and the chaos of the city is stark.
I have my notes prepared and my thoughts as gathered as they can be. I know that tomorrow will be a defining day. I am not a woman given to excessive worry, but the gravity of what lies ahead is undeniable. I take strength from the work I do and the family and friends who surround me; they serve as a necessary shield against the uncertainties that the coming hours may bring.
To Do:
Gather all medical records and questions for the cardiologist appointment; clarity will be my primary goal.
Finalize the welcome packet for the Academy students; keeping them informed is a top priority.
Ensure the lecture materials for the "War of the Thassa" are accessible and ready for the next session.
Tend to the begonias; their quiet, steady growth is a reminder that resilience is a natural process, not a forced one.
