Journal Entry: 2026-05-13 Location: Olni Var Mood/Title: Focused and Fortified
Today has been a day of reinforcing my surroundings and preparing for the work ahead. I spent much of my time fine-tuning the space in my home—acquiring more decor, including weapon racks and tapestries, that help make this place truly feel like a base of operations for the Silver Blades. There is a certain necessary peace in having a well-ordered environment, especially when the political air in Olni remains so unpredictable.
I’ve been making progress on the practical side of things, organizing my equipment and ensuring my gear—my bow and shield—are properly maintained. I am not someone who takes my defense lightly, nor am I someone who forgets the lessons taught by the past. Father and I continue to keep a watchful eye on developments, and while the city itself seems to be a strange mix of history and modern, questionable leadership, I remain focused on my own duties. My commitment to my work as a Scribe and Magistrate is unwavering; regardless of how the politics here shift, the laws and the pursuit of true Gorean knowledge remain my anchors. I feel prepared, armed, and ready for whatever the coming days bring.

[ ] Continue the search for a suitable slave who possesses the discipline and temperament for my household; I will not settle for incompetence again.
[ ] Finalize the administrative setup for my classroom—I want the educational materials to be as accessible as they are rigorous.
[ ] Conduct a thorough review of the city laws I have collected to ensure my understanding is absolute before I begin formal Magistrate duties.
[ ] Maintain a sharp eye on local security; Father is right to be cautious, and I will not be caught off guard in our own home.
